The Cottage Bible

July 13, 2016 by Glenn Leave a Comment

OK, so, let’s say you’re a city person at your friend’s cottage for the weekend, and you’re talking to that neighbour guy who knows everything about anything to do with “cottage life”. At first you think he is interesting as he drones on about tarps and tadpoles and hornets and hammocks. But then you realize he is just wallowing in his own trivial pursuits, awash in a freshwater lake of factoids and tidbits, a cypher, an old sweater, spinning endlessly nowhere.

What do you do? You could just walk away, but that would be un-Canadian and rude… No, you must save him. Help him declutter his thoughts. His salvation will come from The Bible, The Cottage Bible, the all-in-one compendium of vacation-home knowledge.

Cottage Bible

It’s The Cottage Bible. From watersheds to water testing, birds to beaver, The Bible has the answers. Lead your neighbour to The Word on hooking bait fish and The Truth about cribs and gabions. Help your new friend see the lighning in your thunderous troubleshooting and problem-solving tips. Enlighten your fellows with The Bible, The Cottage Bible.

Keep a copy around.
Don’t just leave it in the outhouse.
Spread The Word.
