Wright Pass – Day Five

June 19, 2018 by Glenn

Day Five – Almost done on the Dempster
…….

Wright Pass

Day two on the Dempster Highway included a spectacular climb through Wright Pass to the summit marking the Yukon & NWT border, and two ferry crossings. It feels like a pilgrimage to the end of the road and it’s fun meeting others doing the same thing. The trailer in this picture was bought by an Ontario couple in Surrey sight-unseen for the trip. Yesterday in Tombstone I met a father and son from Indiana when I snapped their picture for them. There are more stories, some are sad (the motorcyclist with the broken down bike or the one with the broken down back), but everyone is excited about this chance to try out a new road and I’m thrilled to be amongst them.
