What’s going on in Thunder Bay?

August 22, 2020 by Glenn Leave a Comment

Heartbeat Hot Sauce Man

Youthful energy is fermenting at the nexus of a culinary and entrepreneurial wave.
. . . . . . .

There is a town in north Ontario with a brand new, gleaming hot sauce factory pumping out fermented habanero and Jalapeño concoctions on the shores of Lake Superior. And I suppose it was only a matter of time before the local Sleeping Giant Brewing Company began making Heartbeat-inspired beer (which sold out in a couple of days).

If you don’t live in Thunder Bay you can order Heartbeat Hot Sauce for delivery anywhere on the planet. Beer produced in Ontario however, can not be delivered outside of the province (don’t even get me going on about inter-provincial trade regulations!).

Check out the origins of the Lakehead’s favourite spicy condiment.
